PRESS RELEASE – A joint investigation between the Fannin County Sheriff’s Office and the Union County

Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division has led to the arrest of five individuals involved in the possession and trafficking of illegal narcotics.

In the early morning hours of June 20, 2025, investigators conducted a traffic stop in

Fannin County, Georgia, which resulted in the seizure of approximately 81 grams of methamphetamine, 7 grams of fentanyl, and 3.5 grams of cocaine. As a result, Rebecca Miggins and Shannon Stallone were arrested and charged with multiple counts related to the trafficking of controlled substances. The investigation had previously identified Stallone as having sold a controlled substance.

As part of the same ongoing investigation, a prior traffic stop on June 3, 2025, on Loving Road in Union County, led to the arrest of Amanda Kwiatkowski for possession of fentanyl and possession of cocaine. All three individuals; Miggins, Stallone, and Kwiatkowski reside at the same residence and are known associates.

In a separate joint investigation, a search warrant executed in early May 2025 near the

Fannin/Union County line led to the arrests of David Newton and Rebecca Peeler. This investigation revealed that both individuals were actively engaged in the distribution of controlled substances to individuals in both counties. Newton and Peeler were charged with possession and sale of controlled substances.

These investigations demonstrate that the illegal drug trade does not recognize county

boundaries. Strong interagency collaboration between Fannin and Union County law enforcement continues to be a key factor in combatting drug-related crimes and keeping our communities safe.
