Bike aid station volunteers hand out water, sports drinks, fruit and energy gels to athletes on the bike course. Athletes can be moving FAST through these aid stations.
Bike pointer volunteers, aka course marshals, assist athletes with directions and course warnings. Volunteers stand at designated intersections or corners at key points of the bike course to ensure athletes stay on course.
